These terms are an agreement between you and Buzz Dealer (Cyprus) Ltd ("SelfBadge", "we", "us") about your use of selfbadge.com and its services. By creating a profile or using the site, you agree to them. Please also read the Privacy Policy.
1. Who can use SelfBadge
You must be at least 16 years old. You may create one profile, and only about yourself. If you manage profiles for others (for example as an agency), you need their permission and must follow these terms on their behalf.
2. Your profile
- You are responsible for what you put on your profile. It must be true, about you, and not misleading.
- Do not add other people's personal information, anything illegal, or anything you do not have the right to publish.
- Your profile is public by design. Fields you mark public are published on your page and in machine-readable formats that AI assistants, search engines and other services can read, copy and index.
- Your handle (your address on SelfBadge) is locked after your first verified fact. Changes go through support.
3. Permission to publish
You keep ownership of what you add. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, format and publish it (including as structured data, JSON, Markdown, sitemaps and feeds to search engines) for as long as it is on your profile, so we can run SelfBadge. When you delete something, we stop publishing it; copies that others made while it was public are outside our control.
4. What verification means
A verification mark means a specific check passed at a specific time, for example that you signed in with an account, received a code at a work email, or placed a link on your website. It is not a guarantee of everything on a profile, and it is not an endorsement of the person. Each mark shows how the fact was checked. Some checks expire and are repeated; if a check fails, the fact goes back to self-declared.
5. Profiles created from public sources
Some profiles are created from openly licensed public sources such as Wikidata. They are marked as unclaimed and show the source of each fact. The person they describe can claim, correct or remove them. Claims are checked, and a claim that does not match goes to manual review.
6. Things you must not do
- Pretend to be someone else, or claim a profile that is not about you.
- Try to get a verification mark you are not entitled to.
- Use SelfBadge to harass, defame or expose anyone.
- Scrape the site in a way that harms it, get around rate limits or security, or access other people's accounts.
- Use the service for anything unlawful.
7. Reports, removal and enforcement
Anyone can report a profile for impersonation or wrong facts, or ask for a profile about them to be removed. We hide a profile reported for impersonation within 24 hours while we review it. We may remove content, hide a profile, or close an account that breaks these terms, and we will tell you why unless the law or safety prevents it.
8. Using data from SelfBadge
Public profile data is published so that AI assistants, search engines and developers can identify people correctly. You may read and use it for that purpose, with attribution to the profile address. Do not use it to build profiles of people for marketing, to contact people in bulk, or in any way that breaks privacy law.
9. Paid plans
The core profile is free. Paid features (SelfBadge Pro) will have their own price and billing terms, shown to you before you pay. Nothing is charged without your confirmation.
10. Changes and availability
We keep improving SelfBadge and may change or stop features. We aim to keep the service available, but we do not promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We will give reasonable notice of changes that significantly affect you.
11. Ending your use
You can unpublish or delete your profile at any time. We may end these terms if you break them. Sections 3 (for content already published), 8, 12 and 13 continue after that.
12. Disclaimers and liability
SelfBadge is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for how third parties (including search engines and AI assistants) use or present public information. Our total liability to you is limited to the greater of 100 US dollars or what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
13. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus, and the competent courts of the Republic of Cyprus have jurisdiction, unless the law where you live gives you other rights.
