1. Check what AI says about you
The free AI check asks ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity one question, "Who is [your name]?", with web search on as in their apps. You see their answers side by side, word for word, with the sources each one cited. No sign-in is needed. The result is kept for 24 hours so you can share it.
2. Fix it with your SelfBadge
Sign in with LinkedIn or Google and pick your address, for example selfbadge.com/your-name. Your name and photo come from the sign-in; you add your current role, past roles, education, credentials, accounts and published work. You can import your LinkedIn data export to start faster. If we already made a profile about you from public sources, you can claim it instead.
Your SelfBadge is one stable page for people, plus the formats machines read: schema.org JSON-LD in the page, a .json version with each fact's verification, a .md version for language models, a public API and an MCP server.
3. Make it verified
A fact is verified when you prove it, not when you type it. Every fact shows how it was verified:
- Social accounts by signing in to the account (X, GitHub, LinkedIn, ORCID, YouTube and others).
- Websites by a link back to your SelfBadge, or a DNS record on the domain.
- Workplace by a code sent to your work email address.
- Research by your ORCID record.
- Pages about you by a link back from the page.
- Identity by an ID document check (with SelfBadge Pro, soon).
Every fact carries one of five levels, in the page and in the machine formats:
- Seeded (0): imported from an open public source (for example Wikidata) and not claimed by the person. Treat as unconfirmed.
- Self-declared (1): added by the owner and not independently checked.
- Account-verified (2): proven by signing in to the account (OAuth), a code sent to a work email, a DNS record, or a link back from the website.
- Document-verified (3): a reviewed document or a credential confirmed with its issuer.
- ID-verified (4): an identity document check.
Names you sign in with are shown as coming from that sign-in, not as verified. Your email address is never shown.
Share it
Copy your link for your bio, add a badge to your website or email signature, or download a QR code for your next talk. No code needed. Anyone, human or machine, can see which facts you proved and how.
Reuse it
Copy your Person JSON-LD into your own site, point sameAs at your stable id, or read your record as JSON or Markdown. Developers and AI agents can look people up through the API and MCP server. The free Person markup generator makes JSON-LD for any website.
